HI Kristy here. I just wanted to say hi to all the staff there and say hi to Chads dad Mike, Mr.Pope. I saw your twin brother at Marthas Vineyard today the 27th of June at the flying horses. and Mr.Starcheski. And Mr Mc Donald. And all of you that are still there. I miss you all and I am looking forward to talking to you all again and I am going to be attending my second year of college. Thanks and the place looks beautiful.

Is it true that if your dislexic you can get in free? Thank you for your time.
Donna: I dout it. Isn’t everyone at the school dyslexic or ADD? If so, how do they pay the bills?
I was a student at Eagle Hill when it first open
Anyone out there have a recent experience with Eagle Hill?
My son is there now and we are very pleased. The kids function at different levels and have different issues, but it all comes together. This is his second year and we have no complaints.
Can you be more specifc about kids functioning at different levels? Has your son made signficant academic progress?
I went to tour Eagle Hill with my son who would be entering as a sophmore. It was wonderful. Friendly students and teachers engaged in small classes. They are building a new dinning hall and arts center that was awesome. I have talked to parents who have their children at the school currently and sing their praises. I am hopeful my son will get in.
Our daughter went to Eagle Hill and it was the worst mistake that we ever made in our life. She had a learning disability but had no social issues. The year she was there the class was about 15 - 20 kids in her class.Over 8 kids were expelled from the school for various infractions. There were several drug overdose, drinking infractions and much more.My daughter explained to me that the kids that went home for weekend trips brought back drug and booze for the week end activities.
I WOULD NEVER SEND MY KID THERE EVER.
Al, I am in the process of completing an application for Eagle Hill. My son was diagnosed with NLD and the public school has not been able to support him. We have visited Eagle Hill and thought it would be a perfect fit, until I read your post. Can you please tell me when your daughter was a student there? Can anyone else recommend schools for NLD students other than Franklin? Has anyone had experience with Forman?
Terry,
If your Son is in High School, You might take a look at Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall School in Waltham.
Al ,
When did your daughter attend Eagle Hill??
Terry, I saw your inquiry and we too are applying for eagle hill fall 09 for our son. He is diagnosed NLD. Do you still think it is a good fit for your son. Anxious to get more info as we are visiting there nextweek. From the brochure the school looks amazing. Our son would be a day student. Appreciate any additional info. you want to share. thanks, rici

My son has been a student at Eagle Hill for the past 4-years (he started in 8th grade). I can’t say enough about the school. I don’t know to what Al is referring, but we’ve not experienced anything negative at Eagle Hill at all. Eagle Hill is the best thing that has happened to my son and to our family as a whole. The place is amazing. Whatever they claim to do, they do in spades. The teachers, the staff, the administration — everyone gives 200%. Because of Eagle Hill, my son went from a sad, lonely, and isolated kid who didn’t understand what was going on in his classes to a happy, enthusiastic, curious learner with a passion for academics and many friends. He will be attending a 4-year college upon graduation and this would have never been possible without Eagle Hill. There is nothing negative about this school, except perhaps the fact that one has to eventually leave it! And no, I do not work for the school. I am just a parent who is forever grateful to the people at Eagle Hill who saved my son’s life.
Hi Bonnie,
Thank you for sharing your Eagle Hill experience. We really did like the school and we have decided that this would be the best placement for our son. We looked at several day schools in the Metro Boston area, but none of them seemed to compare.
