Kindle for Mac

Install this free application on your Macintosh and connect to your Kindle account at Amazon to read books, just like on a kindle.
Frankly, I’m amazed it took them this long to do this. I hope Apple does it with their iBooks application.
Richard,
I hope Apple does it as well. I wonder what the difference will be (if they do so) between the reading experience on a computer screen and an e-reader or iPad.
Well, one difference is the type of screen: Kindle uses e-ink while the iPad and most modern Macs have a high resolution, glossy LCD screen.
People who use e-ink reading devices like them better: just the right amount of contrast for low eyestrain, something meaningful in our ADD world. Of course, if one can’t read well, this may be the least of one’s problems.
Yeah, I’d heard stuff to that effect.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see if there’s any difference between reading on a mac computer screen and the iPad.
